Lava by Hannah

The air is still around me before the volcano erupts
each unmoving atom weighs down my lungs
and I am unable to breathe in antic
the sandpaper ground rubs against my skin
icy magma carves paths down my cheeks
The dark butts blind me
filling my ears & making me deaf
lava pours out of my open wounds
and my body becomes an uncontrollable earthquake
as the dark lava from my heart
threatens to pour out & erupt
